NO JOKE: Closing Prayer/Statement at Tuesday's RNC Convention is Given By Muslim Who Invokes Muhammad to Vouch for Trump

This isn't a joke or a parody piece. Watch the video at the end to see for yourself.

At the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Tuesday evening, the final benediction/prayer and short concluding statement was given by a bald, bow-tied Muslim Imam.

Sajid Tarar is the founder of Muslims for Trump.

Tarar didn't invoke "Allah" (he called him "God") but he did explicitly invoke the "Prophet Muhammad, Peace be Upon Him," and mentioned a Hadith (saying of Muhammad) by Buhkari. It was done in the context of describing what makes a good leader.

I didn't catch it in the video but apparently the short presentation was interrupted by an alternate delegate who yelled "this is an abomination to God!"

I'm honestly surprised the other delegates were so passive.

Maybe they just wanted to get out of there to attend one of those afterparties.

The Hadith that Tarar quoted is part of Bukhari 1:49:
There is a piece of flesh in the body: if it becomes good (reformed), the whole body becomes good, but if it gets spoilt, the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.
That really makes you want to vote for Trump, doesn't it?

By the way, here's another authenticated saying of Muhammad from Bukhari:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah' (8:387).
And here's another:
Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him" (52:177).
I've always liked that last one. It's so evocative. See, even the stones don't like Jews.

That saying by Muhammad - "there is a Jew hiding behind me, kill him!" - is also officially part of the official Hamas Charter.

But I digress.

Does Sajid Tarar subscribe to those other sayings from Bukhari?

Or is he just a cafeteria Muslim?

Either way, the spectacle was bizarre. Make of it what you will.

  1. This is the kind of blasphemy that one accepts when one worships a party instead of Jesus Christ the King!

Make no mistake however, the same could be said if tonight an Orthodox Rabbi (ie. Talmudic/Pharisee) were to close with 'prayer'. The Talmud is rife with direct blasphemes against our Lord Jesus (and His Blessed Mother) and should be denounced with the same vehemence as one denounces the Koran.

There are TWO mortal enemies of Christians - Islam and Judaism!!

  2. How sobering. I hope very much that Donald Trump is elected, believing completely that Hillary Clinton would conduct a totally disastrous presidency from which we would all suffer, but our hope cannot be in secular politics, which remains a wasteland as long as it does not acknowledge Jesus Christ. If the US had wanted that, we would have advanced Ted Cruz, the only candidate who could be called a devoted Christian, as far as I know.
