The Leading Dutch Political Party Declares: Close all Mosques, Ban the Koran

"The Party for Freedom - Time for change - Enough is enough!"

A few days ago, the Party for Freedom (PVV) of the Netherlands, led by Geert Wilders published its political platform for the 2017 Dutch parliamentary elections. The platform contains 11 points, most of which are standard or at least unsurprising for a contemporary right of center European political party. For example, it calls for lower income taxes, additional monies for defense and the police and an exit from the EU. However, the first of the 11 points stands out:
1. De-islamize the Netherlands

  • Zero asylum seekers and no immigrants anymore from Islamic countries: close the borders
  • Withdraw all asylum residence permits which have already been granted for specific periods, close the asylum centers
  • No Islamic headscarves in public functions
  • Prohibition of other Islamic expressions which violate public order
  • Preventive detention of radical Muslims
  • Denaturalization and expulsion of criminals with a dual nationality
  • Jihadists who went to Syria will not be allow to return to the Netherlands
  • Close all mosques and Islamic schools, ban the Koran
That's right, the current leading party in the polls doesn't merely want, say, a freeze in Muslim immigration - it wants to roll back Islam entirely. To repeat the last bullet point:
  • Close all mosques and Islamic schools, ban the Koran
It's important to note that while current polls have the PVV winning more parliamentary seats than any other party, the current estimated number of seats it would win - perhaps 36 - is only a quarter of the total seats. Thus, the PVV would have to participate in a coalition in order to govern. Whether such a coalition could be formed, and what would happen to the above element of the platform within any ruling coalition is anyone's guess. In any case, I suspect that most analysts do not see the Dutch government, say, closing all mosques within a year's time.

But very clearly, the political situation in Europe, especially regarding Islam is quite volatile. Additional mass-terror attacks or assassinations of anti-Islam figures (the Netherlands have already had two of them) could change things.

More to the point, I believe the strategy of Wilders and the PVV is to put "de-Islamization" explicitly on the table, making it in a certain sense "real," however radical or unlikely it might now seem.

In a speech a few months ago, Wilders himself noted how this was precisely what Ronald Reagan did in 1980. Reagan rejected the policy of "containment" towards communism that had been embraced by both Democrats and Republicans for a generation. Or as Reagan is once reputed to have said: "Here’s my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose."

People laughed at that, or accused Reagan of being a warmonger who would start World War III. Less than a decade later, the Berlin wall came down.

We won.

Could it happen again?

Cardinal Burke can learn from the Muslims

Cardinal Raymond Burke must note that Pope Pius XII made a mistake in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 and so there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II.One is irrational and the other is irrational, one has the hermeneutic of rupture and the other one of continuity. One interpretation has ambiguity and the other is without it.The irrational one I call Cushingism and the rational one I call Feeneyism.Cushingism is non traditional and Feeneyism is traditional.Cushingism has an innovation and Feeneyism is without it.
Since Cardinal Burke is a Cushingite he cannot say all Muslims in 2016 need ' faith and baptism' to avoid Hell.He will not say that all Muslims in 2016 are oriented to Hell without 'faith and baptism'.Since he is a Cushingite he cannot only cite the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus( Feeneyite) with reference to Islam.Since the Cushingite baptism of desire refers to visible cases in 2016 which are allegedly exceptions to all needing to formally enter the Church. This is his irrational philosophy.
It is magisterial since the time of Pope Pius XII.
This error has made theology and Catholic doctrine so complicated that when speaking about Islam he has to restrict himself only to political and social issues.Cushingism restricts him.
His position is a rupture with the saints( St. Thomas Aquinas and others) on Islam. It is also a big rupture with the ecclesiology of the Traditional Latin Mass at the time of St. Thomas Aquinas.
I have been writing about this to him since the time he was the Archbishop at St.Louis, Missouri, USA and the archdiocese website was pro-ADL on salvation and the Jews.He was and still is a liberal.
A few months back when Pope Benedict said EENS was no more like it was in the 16th century since there was ' a development' with Vatican Council II, Cardinal Burke was silent.Since Pope Benedict was expressing Cardinal Burke's liberal and irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II.It is only because of the Cushingite, New Theology that there is a development.
    I avoid it.
So there is no development in Vatican Council II for me.
Like me he too can interpret Vatican Council II with Feeneyism ( there are no known exceptions to EENS in 2016).Then his theological and doctrinal interpretation on Islam will change.
Muslims believe that there is exclusive salvation in Islam. This is the position at Al Azhar University. There is no separation of religion and state in Islam. There is no separation between politics and religion.Cardinal Burke could learn from Islam.
Since not only did Cardinal Burke not affirm exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church he did not affirm the Social Reign of Christ the King over all political legislation and the non separation of Church and State.
He can learn from the Muslims and discover what the Church today has forgotten.
Since there is exclusive salvation on Islam only, for Muslim religious leaders, they do not permit inter-faith marriages unless the non Muslim converts.Cardinal Burke who was the head of the Supreme Tribunal at the Vatican has never said that if a Catholic marries a Muslim it is adultery. He does not believe in exclusive salvation in the Church so he does not oppose, on moral grounds, Catholics marrying Protestants. He's a liberal.
So Cardinal Burke, like Fr. John Zuhlsdorf, is now giving us the secular leftist take on Islam.-Lionel Andrades

Cardinal Raymond Burke is a liberal who offers the Latin Mass.Comments on Islam were conditioned by a Cushingite interpretation of Vatican Council II

  3. Nah, as much as I'd like to think this could be legislated away, we're way past that.

At least the spirit of resistance is being magnified.

  5. It's something anyway, unlike the denial of reality or the embrace of Islam being carried out by cowards everywhere. Kudos and God bless, to the manly people who put this forward. In a world of capitulators, you stand out. May God awaken the Christians who still sleep so that they join you, before it is too late for them and their children.
