But Swedes seem okay with this type of attack.
ReplyDeleteNo, let's not call it an "attack", that is not fair to the participants. Let's call it a motor vehicle infraction committed by nobody in particular aimed at nobody in particular about nothing in particular.
There. Does that make the dead less dead? Somebody say it to the injured or maimed and see if they feel better! I'm sure this will be a comfort to them, knowing that it was just an accident and no harm was intended. Goodness, if harm was intended (perish the thought!) then the Swedes would have to reconcile that a) somebody intended them HARM and b) this is going to perhaps happen again and again and again and again and again.
Well, the most important thing is, despite the death and injuries and trauma, the Swedes can still be called "welcoming" and certainly not "xenophobic". THAT, is the important thing, because that would be worse than death or lifelong disability.
God have mercy on the dead. May He comfort and heal the wounded.
May He open the dense head of Swedes and let them see the obvious truth of the situation and have the courage to do something before it is too late, if it is not already.
Oakes, is the perpetrator Asian?!
