Refugees with Benefits: Female Aid Workers are Getting to Know Muhammad in Calais

Calais when it sizzles

The article below makes it clear that sex between aid workers and residents of the Calais refugee camp comes in many permutations - male aid workers with female refugees, male aid workers with prostitutes in the camp, relations between aid workers (females? males?) and underage refugee boys and so on. But apparently the most active category is female aid workers having sex with male refugees.

It's Sex in the City, but without the $300 dinner tabs.

And who are we to judge activist Emily for wanting an exotic break from pajama boy Trevor back home?

But the symbolism of "aid workers" inviting Muhammad into their tent is hard to miss.

Didn't someone once say everything is about sex? Perhaps they weren't totally wrong. What else better explains the otherwise inexplicable "pro-migrant" policy of some Europeans?

A policy that arguably might be reduced to the two-word invitation of that famous Kurt Cobain song.

From today's Daily Mail (originally cited by The Muslim Issue):
Calais aid workers are regularly having SEX with migrants from the Jungle camp - with FEMALE charity helpers the most likely to sleep with a refugee
  • Calais volunteers have been accused of having sex with camp migrants
  • Whistleblowers claim some are having several sexual partners in one day
  • It is alleged some volunteers are suing the camp as 'a free for all festival'
  • Some aid workers said the allegations should have been kept private
Calais aid workers volunteering in the Jungle have been accused of having sex with migrants, some of whom are believed to be underage, according to a whistle blower.
The revelations have caused a furious row on Facebook, with some volunteers claiming the allegations should have remained secret and criticised the whistle blower for expressing his concerns.
According to the whistle blower, some volunteers avail of the service of the Jungle camp prostitutes, while others have multiple partners in one day.
Other aid workers have complained that unscrupulous volunteers are treating the camp like a 'free for all festival' and 'find it difficult to keep it in their pants'.
The original allegations were aired on a Facebook thread concerning the People to People Solidarity group, which has since been deleted.
It was claimed that female volunteers were more likely to have sex with male migrants than any other combination.
One volunteer was described as having 'a bad reputation' for sleeping with male refugees and was asked to leave the camp.
One male volunteer had to be 'persuaded by other male volunteers' against returning due to his 'inappropriate behaviour with female refugees'.
According to the original post, the whistle blower claimed: 'I have heard of boys, believed to be under the age of consent, having sex with volunteers.
'I have heard stories of men using the prostitutes in the Jungle too. I have heard of volunteers having sex with multiple partners in one day, only to carry on in the same vein the following day.
'And I also know, that I'm only hearing a small part of a wider scale of abuse.'
Several volunteers severely criticised the whistleblower for discussing the abuse allegations in an open forum.
However, one volunteer defended him claiming: 'It always really worries me that we're more concerned with the press/our reputation than we are with the sexual abuse itself.'

According to the Independent, some volunteers believe sexual relationships between aid workers and refugees is 'natural' while others believe it breaks the 'usual codes of conduct'.
The UNHCR said it has a 'zero tolerance' policy concerning the sexual exploitation of refugees in such camps.
However, some of the volunteer groups in the camp do not have clearly defined 'codes of conduct', while others complain about so-called 'independent volunteers' who are not attached to any particular group.
Clare Mosely, founder of Care4Calais told the Independent: 'At the end of the day it isn't recognised as an official refugee camp, it's an illegal settlement. So we’ve got no way of forcing anyone to leave. That is the difficulty.'

"No Capitulation!" The General Retracts His Retraction

This is farcical.

Or perhaps it's sinister. We'll soon learn the truth. Or not.

To recap, the former Commander of the French Foreign Legion, General Christian Piquemal gave an emotional interview ("France is dying!") and speech at a banned Pegida rally in Calais. The demonstration was summarily broken up by riot police who behaved very forcibly if not violently. Twenty people were arrested, including the 75-year old General, and they now face prison. Videos show Piquemal being pushed/dragged away in the center of a large police scrum. One emotional witness described the scene:
And what I saw yesterday, I won’t hide it from you, I could not sleep all night because I have reviewed the scene incessantly. They did not talk about it on the TV, the radio, not even in the news papers. We saw (General Piquemal) arrested, manhandled, like a thug, he who after all is a French icon, an image of France, who deserves respect and all the honours due to his rank. Like a thug, we saw him pushed to the ground. The policeman put his foot on his neck. I promise you, we saw it. Afterwards they picked him up, they dragged him, everyone by an arm, his feet did not even touch the ground...
Reportedly, Piquemal was hospitalized. Then a few days later, in the company of a confused looking lawyer, he seemingly repudiated his appearance and statements:
General Piquemal has said in no uncertain terms that he is sorry he went to the demonstration in Calais because he wasn't aware that PEGIDA would be there and PEGIDA is an organization of the "extreme-right", even "fascist" and he is not a racist or xenophobic... He just wanted to look at the situation in Calais to see if there wasn't a permanent solution to the problem...
This was of course disturbing news to anti-Islamist forces. Comments ranged from "they got to him" and "they probably threatened his family" to "we always knew he was a cowardly Socialist."

It's not over.

On his blog (yes, the General has one, although he doesn't seem to use it much), Piquemal has just retracted his retraction. And of course it's forcible and emotional in the style of his "France is dying!" interview:
No volte-face… No capitulation!
I retract nothing!
The fight goes on!
Soon, I will have an opportunity to explain myself clearly and to confound my detractors!
I proclaim: On February 6, from the depths of France, a flame emerged, that nothing and no one will ever be able to extinguish.
Long live Eternal France!
Fraternally yours...

The General Retracts

[UPDATE: 2/13/16 11:30 AM CST. I've changed the title of this post from "The General Surrenders" to "The General Retracts." See here for why.]

Three days ago, General Christian Piquemal made an emotional speech ("France is dying...") at a banned Pegida rally in Calais. The 75-year old former Commander of the French Foreign Legion was then unceremoniously bundled off by riot police and was reportedly subsequently hospitalized. He now faces up to a year in jail.

The French radio station RTL just reported crucial but disturbing news. Apparently, the General is now repudiating his appearance and participation.

Here is Tiberge at GalliaWatch:
General Piquemal has said in no uncertain terms that he is sorry he went to the demonstration in Calais because he wasn't aware that PEGIDA would be there and PEGIDA is an organization of the "extreme-right", even "fascist" and he is not a racist or xenophobic, bla bla bla... He just wanted to look at the situation in Calais to see if there wasn't a permanent solution to the problem, bla bla bla...
Below, an audio of his statements to RTL, preceded by statement from his lawyer who sounds as befuddled as the general. (See RTL via François Desouche.)
In short, he has been bought by the thought police. Some on Twitter pointed out that in the past the general had worked for socialist governments, implying that his basic philosophy was socialist, not nationalist.
As always, I need more information, but right now I am thoroughly disgusted. The audio does not say much more than what I have provided. I used the label Ethics/Morals because I feel it applies. He did a moral thing, a patriotic thing, and then he reneged. This to me is immoral. Is he afraid for his life? No. He is afraid of being called racist.

"France is Dying, France is Dying..."

Gen. Piquemal

Yesterday, A PEGIDA demonstration went ahead in Calais, even though it had been previously banned by the Interior Minister. It was small--perhaps no more than one-hundred people--but the featured speaker was a retired four-star general, General Christian Piquemal, the former commander of the Foreign Legion in the 1990's.

From the looks of it, there were hundreds of police from different branches, almost certainly outnumbering the demonstrators. (And there now seems to be some sort of legal challenge occurring due to the alleged illegality of the presence of Municipal Police.) The police acted quite aggressively and arrested twenty people including the General. See below for a short video of Piquemal being forcibly half-marched and half-dragged away, his senior-citizen figure soon barely visible at the center of a large scrum of shouting riot-gear clad officers.

Immediately before his arrest, General Piquemal gave an interview to “Boulevard Voltaire”, a French online journal. Gates of Vienna ran a translated and subtitled version by Oz-Rita and Vlad Tepes. They also published a transcript, which I touched up and put into paragraph form.

GalliaWatch has also been reporting this story (the title picture and video were taken from that site) and writes that the presence of the high-ranking general "has got to be a first for anti-Islam demonstrations."

One wonders what role (if any) the French military will play in the coming political conflagration. Only two generations ago, the Fifth Republic was created through a half-completed military coup.
Today we have come as patriotic citizens to defend the grandeur and identity of France, because we consider her, especially in Calais, threatened. And our presence here as patriotic citizens is perfectly justified.
The ban issued by the State is perfectly scandalous because we had given a guaranty, we are men of honour, that there would be no provocation, no disorder nor any troublemakers. So, the ban, with gendarmes with whom I have served during 40 years who are willing to hit patriotic citizens, even with the ban, and this ban has been issued for fallacious, unacceptable reasons, and today we are treated like cannibals, that they can send in police, and what’s more military, among the gendarmes who treat French citizens like that —it’s really something absolutely unacceptable.
And that’s just a start, because “France Debout” will stand up, she will stand up. Things will happen in the coming months, because one cannot accept the treatment of honorable citizens, of people who over many years have served France with honor and fidelity, and who are treated in this manner, it’s absolutely unacceptable.
And when I see police who hear the National Anthem and remain “au repos” when they should have taken the position of “guard à vous” and sung with us, it’s really...
France is dying, France is dying...
This is scandalous. And we will do everything for France to be reborn. because Eternal France has been a beacon to the world, and so she must remain. So, today it’s only the start.
They are in the majority now, but they don’t even know what they are defending. If I were in their ranks, I would be ashamed to do what they are doing, because they are soldiers supposed to serve the Republic, and they do this work, hit citizens who came to defend the grandeur of their country, to forbid more than two with our three-colour flag, a flag which has known blood, tears, heroism...
That was a free France. Today it’s practical...we can say it...scandalously...it’s a dictatorship. That is a dictatorship and that is not acceptable. So, the people are sovereign in a democracy and the power of the people is more important than political power. And the decision which has been taken is unjust, scandalous...

Joyful Muslims Storm Calais Ferry; It Doesn't Go Anywhere; Port Closes

"Just keep running. We can grope her later."
Nice try.

The "refugees" were led and cheered on by leftist agitators from Britain and France.

Well done, leftist agitators. That did a lot of good. Now you can go back and sleep in your warm beds.

One source described it as a "migrant invasion". That source was the ferry company.

So is "migrant invasion" now a natural phenomenon sort of like "severe weather conditions"?

Just don't let them use the pool.

From the Daily Mail:
Calais in shutdown: Hundreds of migrants storm port and force their way onto Spirit of Britain ferry in desperate bid to reach UK

  • Port of Calais in France closed after migrants storm the harbour and make it on to The Spirit of Britain ferry
  • Around 500 migrants broke through police lines with 50 thought to have boarded P&O vessel
  • It comes after 2,000-strong protest against living conditions in Calais turned chaotic after group broke police lines
  • Fears are growing over travel chaos with the Eurotunnel set for planned closures from 9pm
  • Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn visited the region earlier in the day to talk to migrants about their living conditions
The Port of Calais has been closed this evening after a storm of migrants broke into the harbour.
Around 500 migrants stormed the site and some have even made it on to ferries in a desperate attempt to reach Britain.
It came after a protest organised by French leftists to support migrants living in squalid conditions in the northern city of Calais drew around 2,000 people, according to organizers.
"Tea will be served at 3:00. Water cannon are available immediately."
The protest on Saturday came as British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn visited the region, which is temporary home to about 4,000 migrants camped out in hopes of finding a better life in Britain, across the Channel.
French officials said a group of 500 people forced their way through police lines and headed to the port, and 150 people were able to get into the fenced-off area.
Long lines of cars and lorries are now building up outside the port and the incident has led to fears of travel chaos ahead of planned closures to the Eurotunnel from 9pm tonight.
The tunnel is shutting so an overnight safety exercise can take place and all services will be suspended, with the last UK departure at 9.20pm and the first departure leaving the UK at be 6.20am tomorrow and from France at 7.20am.
The Mayor of Calais Natacha Bouchart closed the port and said around 50 migrants made their way on to the P&O-operated vessel. Police are at the scene and water canons have been used on board the ship to try to get the group to leave.
Meanwhile, a statement tweeted by P&O said: 'The Port of Calais is resolving a security incident. As a result our vessels are subject to delay of between 90 and 120 minutes.'
In a video filmed by a bystander, crowds can be heard cheering as migrants try to force their way through the fence.
According to Reuters, port staff said some of the migrants have left the Spirit of Britain voluntarily and the rest will be removed by police if necessary.

Danish firm DFDS Seaways called the incident a 'migrant invasion', adding the port would be reopened once police had cleared them out.
Numerous migrants have died trying to make the crossing illegally.
Witness Ben Ferguson said: 'Demonstrators broke police lines & headed to the port. In spite of clouds of teargas a group prised open fence b4 (sic) crowd followed.'
A statement from the Port of Dover said the French port was experiencing 'migrant activity' which had caused disruption to services.
It read: 'The Port of Calais is currently experiencing migrant activity which has caused disruption to ferry services. Therefore services to and from Calais via the Port of Dover are affected, but DFDS Seaways services are still running to Dunkirk as normal.
'The Port of Dover remains open for business, but the duration of this disruption to services remains unknown.'
NOT Quadrophenia
Some people from Britain were present at the demonstration while others carried banners saying 'refugees welcome here'.
But France is under pressure from Britain to secure the region and the French premier said this week that Europe cannot welcome everyone.
Mr Corbyn's visit comes amid a growing urgency over the migrant crisis, with French prime minister Manuel Valls warning the huge influx is putting the European Union's future in 'grave danger'.
During his visit, Mr Corbyn was given a tour of the site meeting refugees and aid workers before speaking of the 'dreadful situation' faced by people camped in the swamp-like conditions.
He said: 'What I'm trying to achieve here is to understand the nature of the refugee crisis that's facing the whole of Europe.
"It sure beats loitering."
'Ultimately we deal with the situation by dealing with the problem at its source, which are the wars and conflicts.
'Also, there are the human needs of people. We have got people here who have been here for months, if not longer than that, with no proper education, no access to doctors, no access to dentists, limited access to food - in very cold, very wet conditions.
'These conditions are a disgrace anywhere. We as human beings have to reach out to fellow human beings.'
Mr Corbyn said Britain should be part of a pan-European effort to help the people affected by the crisis.
