Saying that Ariana Grande is a Prostitute is an Insult to Prostitutes

What would you think of a prostitute who recognized what she was doing was wrong, went to confession intermittently (assume that she was a baptized and semi-practicing Catholic), and tried (sort of) to get out of it, without a lot of initial success.

I would call her a human being and a Catholic, arguably not a "good" one, but no worse than some, and better than many.

Now, what would you call a prostitute who actively recruited children - say, eight-year-old girls - to imitate her and become involved in her lifestyle, including exposing them to pornography and explicitly teaching them about various sexual "permutations," all to make more money, and with no apologies or guilt whatsoever?

I would call her Ariana Grande.

One of the girls who died at Manchester was eight-years-old.

I was initially alerted to this by reading a post by the Catholic blogger Ann Barnhardt. I had never heard of Ariana Grande before the Manchester bombing. And even after, I simply assumed that she was a sort of vacuous "pop" singer, responsible at the most for wasting the time of girls and young women with silly music and dumb pop music idol stuff.

I was wrong. Ariana Grande is actually a sort of monster. I say that not because she's using sexuality to sell records (which wouldn't exactly be new) but because she's intentionally profiting from selling sex to young girls.

Here is an excerpt of lyrics from one of her hit songs, "Side to Side," performed at the Manchester concert. In the "official" recording and video, some of these words are actually sung by a collaborator, Nicki Minaj, but they're part of the song. Keep in mind that much of Grande's audience is pre-pubescent:

I've been here all night
I've been here all day
And boy, got me walkin' side to side
(Let them hoes know)

I'm talkin' to ya
See you standing over there with your body
Feeling like I wanna rock with your body
And we don't gotta think 'bout nothin' ('Bout nothin')
I'm comin' at ya
'Cause I know you got a bad reputation
Doesn't matter, 'cause you give me temptation
And we don't gotta think 'bout nothin' ('Bout nothin')...

'Cause tonight I'm making deals with the devil
And I know it's gonna get me in trouble
Just as long as you know you got me

This the new style with the fresh type of flow
Wrist icicle, ride d*ck bicycle
Come true yo, get you this type of blow
If you wanna menage I got a tricycle

All these bitches, flows is my mini-me
Body smoking, so they call me young Nicki chimney
Rappers in they feelings cause they feelin' me
Uh, I-I give zero f*cks and I got zero chill in me
Kissing me, copped the blue box that say Tiffany
Curry with the shot, just tell 'em to call me Stephanie
Gun pop and I make my gum pop
I'm the queen of rap, young Ariana run pop

Now, I'm sure that if anyone reading this doesn't understand what the lyrics mean, it's because you would never think that they would be sung by someone whose audience was composed largely of children. But here's a quick primer. All of it has been confirmed by Grande herself or is understood by every commenter:

Walking side to side (having so much sex that one cannot walk straight)
Wrist icicle (masturbatory sex)
Ride d*ck bicycle (self-explanatory)
Get you this type of blow (oral sex)
If you wanna menage I got a tricycle (self-explanatory)

In fairness, if you heard the song for the first time or in passing, you might miss half of the words. However, just in case you didn't get it, the central theme of the video for "Side to Side" features the dancers/models riding exercise bikes.

Is this, in and of itself, the worst thing in the world? Of course not.

But when it's pushed on eight-year-old girls, it comes pretty close.

And, no, this is not an anomaly. Here are some lyrics from her "encore" song, "Dangerous Woman," at Manchester, sung only seconds before the bomb went off:

Oh yeah
Don't need permission
Made my decision to test my limits
'Cause it's my business
God as my witness
Start what I finished
Don't need no hold up
Taking control of this kind of moment
I'm locked and loaded
Completely focused my mind is open

All that you got, skin to skin, oh my God
Don't ya stop, boy...

All girls wanna be like that
Bad girls underneath like that
You know how I'm feeling inside
Somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout
All girls wanna be like that
Bad girls underneath like that...

God as my witness.

Okay: people, sex, rock music. Nothing new. Even some traditionalist Catholics that I know might have something like this on their iPod while they work out. It's a bit mischievous or whatever, but many of us laugh and wink at secular culture while still occasionally getting into the beat...

Except that:

Eight-year-old girls.

I simply cannot imagine any mother or father allowing or encouraging their daughter to listen to or embrace this stuff.

I don't believe that the parents who sent their children to die (it turned out) at that Ariana Grande concert were responsible for their child's physical deaths.

A Muslim did that.

But those parents were responsible for promoting the deaths of their children's souls.

There's something horrifically ironic about that most pornographic of all religions - Islam - which embraces the corruption of children (marrying them off to some middle-aged imam or whatever), warring against Ariana Grande, a pornographer profiting off of the corruption of children.

Saying that Ariana Grande is a prostitute is an insult to prostitutes.

What does that make the parents?

Fear, Confusion and Charity (but not Panic) During London Attack - "Hey man, go get me something tough, get me that bat."

H/t: Vlad Tepes.

So many pictures and videos of the recent spate of terrorist attacks feature people running away, often in what seems to be panic. Of course, simply running is often the best option.

But this new video shows people near the attacks remaining in place (with at least one trying to arm himself), in part, I assume because they don't know which way to run, but also to make sure that others can be warned. A few of the men look almost nonchalant, as if they still don't quite understand what's happening. Or perhaps they feel relatively safe, as they're standing at an intersection of alleys where they might have a clear view of any possible attackers.

We do see a man (a policeman?) trying to quickly move an injured man out of danger, as well as two other policemen tearing down an alley with guns drawn. "Dad, are you alright?" someone shouts. "Are you alright, luv?"

Another man tries to franticly explain what is happening. He speaks in a mixture of English and another language:

"It's a terrorist attack here. These mad people. They attacked people. Look, look at this, brothers. Man, the knife blows he gave to a guy, oh my God. My God, I think I filmed him. He put the knife in his neck. It's three of them. It's three, it's three people, no? Three. Hey man, go get me something tough, get me that bat."

Paul Weston of Liberty GB on Muslim Terrorism: "We should close down every mosque in this country which preaches Salafist or Deobandi Islamic supremacism - which means pretty much all of them."

Three days before the British Parliamentary elections, the polls and prediction markets indicate that the Conservatives will win a small majority of seats, and Theresa May will remain prime minister.

The prediction markets give Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party a 17% chance of victory.

Other parties, including the Scottish Nationalists, Liberal Democrats and a few others will retain a small number of seats.

UKIP, the "right-wing populist" party credited with passing BREXIT may end up with no seats.

I've argued previously that while Theresa May and the Conservatives might be better than Labour on terrorism (not too hard - Labour is shot through with Marxists, anti-Semites and Islamist sympathizers) the Conservatives bear a large part of the responsibility for the current crisis. All indications are that they still don't "get it." Part of me wants them to lose. They certainly deserve to.

But then, I don't have to live in Britain.

The only party that makes sense on the Islam issue is Liberty GB, lead by Paul Weston.

Right now they have minuscule support, and are focusing on influencing the debate. Any possibility of success at the polls is years away.

Which is symptomatic of the problem. Liberty GB speaks of the "traitor class," but the vast majority of British voters supports the traitor class, at least at the polls.

Weston recently responded to the London Bridge attacks in a six minute video. I happen to agree with every point that he makes. Indeed, it isn't simply agreement but a forecast. Something like the Liberty GB program will eventually be instituted.

Or, rather, it will be instituted if Britain is to avoid civil war, or a slow-motion descent into authoritarianism or sharia, punctuated at increasing intervals by bloody terrorist attacks.

Here is the transcript of Weston's talk, followed by the video:
I've just listened to Theresa May's statement about the Islamic terror attack in London, and it's a load of cowardly, disingenuous rubbish.
She claims she wants to take up the fight against an evil ideology, but the problem is that she won't name it for what it is, which is Islam.
Prime Minister May suggests the evil ideology is Islamism, and is a perversion of Islam and a perversion of the truth.
Well, that's rubbish, Mrs May. The only perversion of the truth is what you and the rest of the Traitor Class continually peddle.
Let's get one thing perfectly clear here: Islam is a violent supremacist political ideology established by the warlord Mohammed in the seventh century, which spread across the globe via violence and terror. And millions of its fanatical followers are now in our country.
I'm not going to talk today about this self-evident truth, nor why our Traitor Class are so keen on avoiding this self-evident truth. But what I will talk about is how we can deal with Islamic terror, and I mean deal with it, rather than doing what Theresa May is doing, which is pretending to deal with it.
One. We should stop all Muslim immigration today, completely.
Two. We should close down every mosque in this country which preaches Salafist or Deobandi Islamic supremacism - which means pretty much all of them.
Three. We should tell the truth about Islam, which means identifying all the calls for violence and terror in the Koran, and then ban the Koran as a book of hate.
Four. We should remove all funding from every public Muslim organisation in Britain.
Five. We should close down every Muslim charity organisation in Britain, many of which - and we don't know how many - are just fronts for terrorist fundraising.
Six. We should stop all further Saudi Arabian funding of Islam in Britain.
Seven. We should intern the thousands of Muslim terror suspects, immediately.
Eight. We should deport all Muslim criminals with dual passports.
Nine. We should close down all Sharia courts.
Ten. We should prosecute everyone who practices honour violence, honour killings and female genital mutilation, and deport the ones who have dual nationality.
Eleven. We should close down all aspects of Sharia finance and all Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, which massively influence our political and media class via the thousands of millions of pounds they bring into Britain. As with most things in life, if you want to know why our Traitor Class behaves as the Traitor Class, it's simply a matter of following the money.
If all of these suggestions were in place in the future and we still suffered from Islamic terror, then the only, and logical response, should then be to deport all Muslims.
Now, liberals would be upset about this, but I think asking Muslims to move to a Muslim country is infinitely more moral than asking the native British to put up with murder and terror on a daily basis, in perpetuity.
After the Manchester bombing Dominic Grieve, the politician in charge of our national security, told us there is nothing we can do to stop every terrorist act. Well, there is actually, Mr Grieve, it all depends on whether you are genuinely serious about halting Islamic terror today and total Islamic subjugation in the future.
It's a trade-off. It's whether or not you want to trade lots of dead Brits against being called a racist and asking Muslims to go back to Islamic countries. You have chosen dead British people rather than be called a racist and rather than deport the people who kill us.
That's your choice. That's why you're a member of the Traitor Class. That's why Theresa May is a member of the Traitor Class. That is why all you do is talk and have words. You need to start putting things into practice. There's no point talking about something that you won't even name as the problem.
We will name it, Liberty GB will name it. If you want to do something about this, then join Liberty GB, because unless you know of another credible party or another credible person who's actually going to stand up and can talk about these things - and one day put them into effect -, then you need to follow us, you need to support us.
So please do support us, because our Traitor Class are simply betraying us, and their words are just words, made all the [more] worse because they still, even now, cannot even name what the enemy is.
They cannot even - and this is so important -, after yet another terrorist attack, you'd think that one of them would stand up and say, look, is there something about Islam - not Islamism, about Islam - that is behind this terror? Is there something in the Koran that suggests or promotes this sort of behaviour?
Well, yes there is, and unless you're prepared to identify it, you're wasting everyone's time, and while you're doing that, everything is getting worse.
Which is why you're called the Traitor Class.

"They stabbed the girl maybe ten, 15 times. She was saying 'help me, help me'."

Police burst into a pub, shouting at patrons to crouch on the floor

The current death toll from the Muslim ramming and stabbing attack on and around London Bridge stands at 7, with 48 people injured and taken to hospitals.

There are now a number of videos of the attack. Most of them show people fleeing or crouching on the floor at the command of the police. Witness reports also tell of people running in panic and confusion. This witness report is notable in that the speaker claims to have attempted to resist the attackers by throwing items at one of them - pint glasses, bottles, stools and chairs.

From The Telegraph:
One eyewitness, named only as Gerard, told the BBC: "I saw a geezer lying on the floor saying he'd been stabbed
"I saw these three Muslim guys run up and started stabbing this girl. They attacked her and stabbed another guy.
"They started running up the road, stabbed the bouncer at the Tavern.
"I was throwing bottles at them, pint glasses, stools, chairs, but I was defenceless.
"They were running up saying 'this is for Allah'.
"They stabbed this girl maybe ten, 15 times. She was saying 'help me, help me'."
He claimed he had hit one of the attackers on the back of the head by throwing things at him, and was chased, but escaped unharmed.
Gerard Vowls told The Guardian newspaper that he saw a woman being stabbed by three men at the south end of London Bridge. He said he threw chairs, glasses and bottles at the attackers in a bid to stop them.
"They kept coming to try to stab me . they were stabbing everyone. Evil, evil people," he told the newspaper. "I want to know if this girl is still alive. I've been walking around for an hour and a half crying my eyes out. I don't know what to do."
Bartender Alex Martinez said he hid in a garbage bin for a half hour when a man stormed the restaurant where he worked, which was nearly full.
"I saw that man with a knife in his hand and after that a man started screaming so I knew something wrong was happening," he said.
Medics treated the injured near the market as shocked people cried and shouted around them. Police officers yelled at people to run from the area.
Simon Thompson told Sky News that he was just outside Borough Market when he saw crowds fleeing.
"We ran for like 100 meters and then saw loads of police cars turned up and there was kind of a period of quite intense gunfire," he said. "I hid in a restaurant basement for about an hour. ... Police told us to get out and then there was more gunfire."

The Horrific Math of the Evolving Cardinalate

The following table shows the proportion of papal electors that will have been selected by Pope Francis, beginning on June 28th, when the five new designates will be confirmed, and extrapolating out, in case Pope Francis continues to occupy the chair in another one, two or three years. Since it's probable that some cardinals under age 80 will die in the interim - to be replaced by Francis - the actual proportions will, of course, almost certainly be higher.

2017 - 4 years: 49 of 121 (40%)
2018 - 5 years: 53 of 120 (44%)
2019 - 6 years: 59 0f 120 (49%)
2020 - 7 years: 67 of 120 (56%)

At her blog, What's up with the Synod, and in a recent article in The Remnant, Hillary White wonders whether Jorge Bergoglio might have already served his primary purpose for the Modernist revolution/demolition:
A while ago Mike Matt asked me how it could possibly be worse. I said, “Oh, I don’t know. How about someone smarter, more wiley and less obvious, more politically skilled and more plausible, and 20 years younger?”
“Has Bergoglio reached the end of his usefulness? And if so, what’s next on the agenda?” Broadly, he was to sever the connection of the Church’s power structures to her doctrines, most especially the doctrines that the secular world finds most objectionable; that is, on sex and marriage. He was to complete the desacralization of the Church as an institution and remove the last obstacles for a functioning union between Catholicism, “liberal” factions in other Christian confessions and other religions and the globalist, transnationalist elites in Brussels and New York.
All of these things he has accomplished, and the time has come for the Revolution to move on to the next phase.
[…]
The short version is that at the end of 4 years of Pope Francis Bergoglio, every bit of the power and money of the institutions of the Catholic Church is now in the hands of the completely triumphant post-Conciliar, secularist, globalist, neo-modernist Revolution. And that is why I think that Bergoglio’s reign will not last much longer. His purpose has been accomplished; Maradiaga’s “irreversible renovation” of the Church is done.
Bergoglio himself has been recorded saying that he thought his pontificate would last about 4 years. And here we are. We know that certain people put him in place for certain reasons. He was to accomplish some very particular tasks and I think he has done so. I think overall, his job was to complete the demolition project of the radical revolutionaries of the Vaticantwoist project; that is, the total reconstruction of the Catholic Church along the lines of their vision.
What I believe is that now that the Wrecking Ball has done his work, we will next have the Surgeon.
As Miss White mentions, one of the most important projects of Bergoglio was packing the voting-age cardinalate with the Modernists's men.

Let's look at the numbers again:

2017 - 4 years: 49 of 121 (40%)
2018 - 5 years: 53 of 121 (44%)
2019 - 6 years: 59 0f 120 (49%)
2020 - 7 years: 67 of 120 (56%)

Now, of course, most of the current cardinal revolutionaries or useful idiots/hacks or whatever one wants to call them, were actually selected by Benedict XVI or John Paul II. This shows two things:
  1. How tolerant, trusting, naive or clueless Benedict and John Paul II were towards the enemies of the Church (as opposed to how focused and dedicated Francis and his allies have been in choosing people that are on board for their agenda), and
  2. How the above numbers are in fact much worse than they seem - many if not most of those not selected by Francis are just as likely to choose another Francis (or as White argues, an even more dangerous man than Francis) as are the Francis appointees.
Those who think the current crisis will end with the death or resignation of Francis are deluding themselves.

The "interesting times" are only beginning.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Rides a Harley With Rolling Thunder on Memorial Day Weekend

Rolling Thunder began 30 years ago as an advocacy group for service men and women missing in action. Every year, on the Sunday before Memorial Day, it sponsors a slow motorcycle ride through the capitol, from the Pentagon to the Vietnam War Memorial.

It's called the Ride for Freedom.

Yesterday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson participated in the ride. He was on a Harley.

When a Sitting US President Threatened a Journalist: "Some day I hope to meet you. When that happens, you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!"

This is a fairly well-known story. It's one of those "Give 'em hell, Harry!" anecdotes about that Democrat icon. A few years ago, the original letter was offered by Christie's auction house at an expected price of up to $100,000. (I'm not sure what it actually sold for.)

Obviously, comparisons with the recent Greg Gianforte "body slam" come to mind.

Gianforte was elected as a Montana representative to Congress last night, despite credible allegations that he had violently shoved a Guardian reporter, a few days before. It's arguable that his physical show of temper didn't hurt him with the voters and may have actually slightly helped him.

A few points.
  • It's wrong for politicians to physically attack journalists. (This is virtue signaling on my part.)
  • President Harry Truman didn't actually physically attack anyone. He merely threatened to.
  • He was defending (to him) the honor of his daughter, not merely expressing frustration at an annoying reporter sticking a microphone into his face at a campaign event.
  • Still, Truman threatened to do much more to his target than merely break his glasses.
  • The Washington Post decided not to publish Truman's aggressive letter. Imagine what the Post would do today if Trump has written such a missive.
  • Years later the story would have a happy and even heart-warming ending. Note the classy responses of the journalist and Margaret Truman (at the time) and Harry Truman (years later).
  • It's neither here nor there, I suppose, but the threatened critic was an expert on Catholic liturgical music.
The Obituary of Paul Hume, published by the Daily Telegraph, November 28, 2001:
Critic who made Harry Truman fume dies at 85
By Stephen Robinson in Washington
A LINE has been drawn under a famous episode in American presidential folklore with the death of a mild-mannered music reviewer once threatened with serious physical injury by President Harry Truman.
Paul Hume, The Washington Post's music critic, wrote a gently damning review of the singing of Margaret Truman, the president's daughter, at a 1950 Washington recital.
"Miss Truman is a unique American phenomenon with a pleasant voice of little size and fair quality," Hume wrote of the performance.
"She is extremely attractive on stage, yet Miss Truman cannot sing very well. She is flat a good deal of the time. . ."
Truman was livid and fired off a letter, branding Hume "an eight ulcer man on four ulcer pay". Then he added: "Some day I hope to meet you. When that happens, you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!"
Truman was prone to what his staff referred to as "longhand spasms" when he would fire off unpresidential letters to settle scores with his adversaries.
Hume took it in good heart and The Washington Post decided not to publish the letter or report the president's outburst. But Hume mentioned it to a colleague on the Washington News and the episode was made public.
Hume, however, showed considerable grace under fire, regarding it as no great sin for a father to be over-protective of his daughter and blamed himself for telling a colleague about the letter.
Margaret Truman was equally forgiving. "Mr Hume is a very fine critic," she said. "He has a right to write as he pleases."
She subsequently gave up her singing career and achieved some success as a writer of murder mysteries set in Washington DC.
Some years later, when visiting Missouri, Truman's home state, Hume looked up the retired resident. Truman was delighted to see his old enemy and played the piano for him in his office before joining Hume at a concert.
Hume, an authority on Catholic church music and the works of Verdi, was The Washington Post's music critic for 35 years until his retirement in 1982. He died in Baltimore on Monday, aged 85.
