CLOCKWORK ORANGE: London saw 16,000 Moped Gang Attacks in 2017 - Up 1,000 Percent in 3 Years

Diversity: Moped gang, convicted in December, 2017

In Anthony Burgess's 1962 novel A Clockwork Orange and Stanley Kubrick's subsequent 1971 film of the same name, London is terrorized by youth gangs who rape, steal and murder with impunity.

The criminals speak in a Cockney-foreign argot and often wear foppish costumes or uniforms. The main character, a thug named "Alex," likes classical music.

Great Britain is a socialized police-state where dissidents are monitored and politicians attempt to use the violence to manipulate elections. There appears to be little difference between the dominant political parties.

The story was satire, but many saw it as a sort of prediction.

Has it come true?

I would argue that the reality is getting closer.

What are some of the differences?

In the story, while all of London and the surrounding countryside were to some extent dangerous, there were no "no-go zones" where the police would not venture.

In the story, there were no terrorist groups engaging in random mass-atrocities.

In the film, all of the gang members were white. Today, it's a mix, though probably dominated by "Asians."

In 2018, the criminals supplement the broken bottles, clubs and knives of the story with hammers, deadly acid and sometimes firearms.

If there is an argot, it's Cockney-Arabic or -Urdu, not Cockney-Russian.

There are no foppish costumes. Beethoven is out. Urban rap and Islamic chant are in.

In 2018, if there is a form of aversion therapy, it's only practiced on the dissidents.

Though in 2018, the government is apparently attempting to murder dissidents by imprisoning them with the thugs. This didn't happen in the story.

***

I went to school in London for two years and subsequently visited many times as an adult. My wife and I honeymooned there.

But I doubt I will go back. I don't think I would send my children to school there. And, of course, if I were a bit more prominent as a blogger, I would be banned from returning, anyway.

But, man, I have some very fond memories.

Is all of Great Britain now a dystopian hell-hole? Of course not. I have many online friends who, as far as I can tell, live fairly happy and normal lives, in between being banned from YouTube or fired from their jobs for dissident activities.

But a more nasty dystopia and perhaps civil war are coming.

That didn't happen in the story, either.

From The Sun:
HELL ON WHEELS London moped gangs – how many crimes have there been and where have they happened?
London saw 16,000 moped attacks in 2017 while scooter-related crime is up 1,000 per cent in three years across the UK
By Mark Hodge, 5th June 2018, 9:55 am, Updated: 5th June 2018, 10:30 am
THUGS riding mopeds have helped fuel the rise in violent crime in the UK.
London is proving to be a hot bed for the scooter attacks which are up 1,000 per cent in three years across the country.
How many moped gang attacks have there been in London?
London saw 16,000 scooter attacks in 2017 - up from just 1,053 in 2014.
Motorcycles have been used in crimes such as phone snatches, gem store raids and acid attacks.
Authorities told The Guardian last year that one gang carried out 30 robberies in the capital within an hour period.
In October 2016, a man was jailed for snatching 21 phones in one hour while riding a moped before he was chased down by a police helicopter.
When and where have the London attacks happened?
  • April-May 2017: A gang of three teenage boys – aged 15, 16 and 17 – committed over 100 crimes while riding mopeds in the boroughs of Camden, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
  • July 13, 2017: Five people were attacked with acid in a 90-minute period by two men riding scooters.
  • The victims, who were all riding mopeds, had their bikes hijacked in the assaults in Hackney, Stoke Newington and Islington.
  • July 14, 2017: A moped rider was attacked with a "noxious substance" by two men riding a scooter in Dagenham, East London.
  • July 15, 2017: A man was stabbed to death by a moped gang in Greenwich.
  • October 2017: Charity worker Abdul Samad, 28, was stabbed to death in Maida Vale, West London, by a scooter gang who were attempting to steal his phone. In April, 2018, two teenage robbers, dubbed the “highway men for the 21st Century”, were convicted of murder following Abdul’s death.
  • December 2017: A ten-strong moped gang were jailed for 110 years after a series of £1.2m raids across the capital.
  • June 2018: Comedian Michael McIntyre had his Rolex watch stolen by hammer-wielding moped thugs in North West London.
What has caused the rise in moped attacks?
Authorities believe the surge in moped-related robberies could be driven by an increase in the value of smartphone parts.
Met Police officials say criminal gangs are also getting better at bypassing the security of stolen handsets.
Aside from mobile phones, many of the attacks involve the criminals hijacking others scooters.
Police stats in 2017 showed that around 1,500 mopeds or motorcycles are stolen in London every month.
The poor security of these vehicles, coupled with their ability to easily mount curbs, is thought to be behind the surge in robberies.
Experts, such as former Metropolitan Police chief inspector Peter Kirkham, also believe budget cuts to cops have contributed to a rise in violent crimes in the city.
Speaking with iNews, Kirkham said: “Cuts to police officers mean fewer officers on the street and fewer officers investigating crimes.
“There is no time for officers to carry out stop and search, and the bad guys have noticed.
“They know they can get away with more and more… It’s not rocket science."

Muslim Youths Swarm Two Unarmed Cops in East London - "You take one more step and I'm going to spray you!" (VIDEO)

Merrie England

The East London borough of Tower Hamlets is officially listed as being 30% Muslim, which means it's probably closer to 40% or 50%.

Here, two unarmed police are confronted by a much larger group of Muslim youths in an incident from a few days ago. The police, both big men, appear to be no slouches at fighting but are severely outnumbered. One threatens to use pepper spray. In the end, only the arrival of more police in two more cars turns the tide.

The scene is filmed by someone from a close-by balcony. Note the exclamations of "Allah! Allah! Allah!" from either the person recording the scene or a woman in the background. Is she praying for the police, the youths or just that the confrontation will not escalate?

New Muslim Mayor of London Bans Bikini Ads on Public Transport

The Masjid students didn't like her

I understand that many Catholics are also against near-nude "sexy" ads in public places. But the background context makes it clear that Khan was not spontaneously deciding to strike a blow for common-sense modesty or decency. Rather, it comes in the wake of Muslims engaging in organized vandalism campaigns in London and Birmingham to deface "western" bikini advertisements.

It's the slow-motion imposition of Sharia law backed up by the threat of mob violence against property. The trick, of course, is to also make it acceptable to feminists and other leftists by talking about "body shaming" issues and the like--which of course most Muslims couldn't give a damn about.

This is how it's happening, people.

From The Daily Caller
London’s Muslim Mayor Bans Sexy Women In Advertisements
Sadiq Khan, London’s first Muslim mayor, announced Monday that “body shaming” advertisements will no longer be allowed in London’s public transport.
“As the father of two teenage girls, I am extremely concerned about this kind of advertising which can demean people, particularly women, and make them ashamed of their bodies. It is high time it came to an end,” Khan said.
Khan was not clear in what would determine which ads would be banned, as it doesn’t include all images of people in underwear or swimming clothes. Most underwear and bikini models though can be assumed to have non-average bodies.
There was a petition with over 70,000 on Change.org opposing an advertisement with women in a bikini that asked “are you beach body ready?”
The petition said, “Protein World is directly targeting individuals, aiming to make them feel physically inferior to the unrealistic* body image of the bronzed model, in order to sell their product.”
Recently, advertisements featuring bikini-clad models in the British city of Birmingham were spray painted over. Birmingham has a high Muslim population.
From the Daily Mail:
Censored! Bikini advert blacked out with spray paint by 'Muslim extremists who object to women in swimsuits'
She is supposed to be advertising a sexy bikini.
But instead the model on this poster, in Birmingham, has been defaced in an act of vandalism blamed on militant Muslims who were offended by her flesh.
Similar acts of vandalism have been carried out in the London borough of Tower Hamlets. Police there also believe extremists are responsible.
The advert, which promotes a £3.99 bikini top from high-street fashion retailer H&M, a scantily-dressed model stands on a sun-kissed, white sand beach.
The freestanding advertising unit, stands in the Balsall Heath area of Birmingham, which has a large Muslim population.
Across the road from 'Muslim Students House Masjeed', an education centre, the poster is next to a busy main road.
The fact that almost all of the model's flesh has been covered has led local residents to speculate that the vandalism was not random, but a religiously-motivated targetted attack.
Delivery driver Robert Tonkins, 45, said: "You see a lot of women wearing the hijab around here, and what's been done to that poster looks very similar to it.
'I don't think it's just kids messing around - they've spray-painted specific areas and covered up anything that might be offensive to very religious people.
'It's a bit worrying, I don't think it's up to other people to decide what can and can't be displayed on our streets, especially because we're a Christian country.'

Allahu Akbar! London Has a Muslim Mayor!

Yeah, but will they get past the Beefeaters?

The results have not yet been officially announced but after the first votes were tallied, it became clear that Labour candidate Sadiq Khan would decisively beat Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith for Mayor of London. A few points:
  • The first round tally was 44% to 35% with Khan reportedly winning enough second round votes--where Khan was second choice for those whose first choice was neither Khan nor Goldsmith--for him to clinch victory.
  • Labour appears to be losing nationally. This is notable in that it was predicted that it would make major gains in this political cycle. the Tories now appear to be the number two party in Scotland, after the SNP (The Scottish National Party). UKIP (The UK Independence Party)--in some ways the country's real opposition on many issues--has more than tripled its Council seats (although they still have only a small fraction). The Scottish and Welsh nationalists both did very well. So did the Liberal Democrats. Basically, Labour lost and all the other parties gained.
  • The relatively new position of Mayor of London has been held by people of diverse politics and personalities--either extreme or eccentric. The outgoing mayor is a populist Conservative with goofy hair. His predecessor, the first to hold the position, was a quasi-communist.
  • Khan is in many ways a typical Labour candidate with "mainstream" Labour views. So, for example, he is pro-gay marriage. His wife doesn't appear to wear a hijab.
  • Some Muslims have criticized him for such "liberalism." And he has even been threatened by some extremists.
  • On the other hand, he himself has had many dubious associations with extremists and extremist groups. A few years ago he called moderate Muslims "Uncle Toms."
  • He recently apologized for the "racial slur" but the apology seemed more about the offensiveness of the term than the actual sentiment--there is something objectionable about "moderate Muslims."
  • Goldsmith, his opponent, cited these extremist associations in his campaign, penning an editorial a few days ago titled, "On Thursday, are we really going to hand the world's greatest city to a Labour Party that thinks terrorists are its friends?"
  • Allegedly this didn't go down very well with voters and many faulted Goldsmith for "dirty campaigning". Today his sister said that this approach lost him the election and that he is actually an eco-friendly non-racist at heart. His sister used to be married to a Muslim.
  • The Muslim population of London is approaching 15%. It's unclear what the proportion of Muslim voters is. I would assume it's somewhat smaller.
  • Nevertheless, it's an important block and presumably at least insured part of Khan's victory margin.
  • In fairness, the Conservatives have also courted the Muslim vote. Weirdly, polls showed that if the race were between Khan and Boris Johnson, the outgoing Tory, Johnson would have won. This appears to show that the Mayor's race is often more about personality than politics.

"This is for Syria": Attacker Stabs Three at London Tube Station

As usual, the Daily Mail has one of the best reports, with numerous photographs and videos, many taken by witnesses. Read the full story here.

Though the incident sounds horrible, and one of the witnesses described seeing a "dead guy in a pool of blood," none of the injuries appear to be life threatening.

I find the event notable for a number of reasons:
  • The unidentified knifeman did yell two political slogans, "this is for Syria" and "all your blood will be spilled." But aside from that, he appears to be more of a lone crazy guy than a terrorist cell member executing an attack plan. Nevertheless, Scotland Yard quickly described it as a terrorism attack.
  • Though the British papers have recently been full of reports of Muslim violence--such as the horrific Rotherham rape scandal--this is the first "official" terrorist attack in London since the public murder of soldier Lee Rigby, over two years ago.
  • "This is for Syria" seems to be becoming a popular terrorist slogan.
  • "He's a terrorist, therefore he's not a Muslim," seems to be becoming an equally popular slogan, growing in use as Muslim terror attacks multiply (see below).
Here's the article sidebar:
YOU AIN'T NO MUSLIM BRUV!' HOWE EAST LONDONERS CONFRONTED KNIFEMAN DURING TERROR ATTACK

A defiant East Londoner has been filmed condemning the knifeman who carried out a knife attack 'for Syria' at Leytonstone underground station, dismissing the killer as not being a true Muslim.
'You ain't no Muslim bruv,' the witness can repeatedly be heard saying as he watched the attacker being pinned to the ground by police.
The powerful statement has been widely quoted on social media with many people saying the man's actions represented only the work of a killer rather than someone showing their support for Syria.
Police shout 'Taser Taser' at knifeman in Leytonstone.
The man was filmed as he allegedly waved his knife circled, before being Tasered by police
There was a confrontation, left, after the stabbing which left a large pool of blood, right, at Leytonstone Underground station in east London shortly after 7pm
'You ain't no Muslim, bruv'. I will stand by THAT Muslim anytime,' wrote one social media user.
Another supporter said:'#YouaintnoMuslin, London cannot be broken. Sums up our unity perfectly.'
